San Diego's East County. I ride year round and it is damn warm here about 360 days out of the year. The other 5 days is a crap shoot. The desert is less then an hour away. If it gets to hot you can be at the beach in a half an hour. Been here all my life and won't leave cause the weathers to good.
I think Arizona is the place because you have it all. In the winter months if you happen to miss the snow its only a two hour ride to Flagstaff and you can ski in the morning, drive back to Phoenix and play nine holes in the evening. Like somebody already said, the summer months are a little hot but just buy yourself a fifth wheel and park it in the mountains and its like having a second home. We are 5 hours from San Diego, LA and Vegas and a 1 1/2 hour flight from San Fran and Denver. Nothing like being able to ride in December, January, Feb and March.
Saying Phoenix is a little hot is like saying the Pope is a little Catholic. I have lived in MN, TX, NV, NOCAL, SOCAL, AZ, & CO. If I had my druthers I would be back in San Diego, I live in Phoenix now and its my second choice, but I have a job here so here I am. It is a great place to live. C'mon down, now that I have a job you wont be competition so I guess its o.k.
Won't the cat on the '10 bikes and up keep you warm enough during the winter months
Not so much the cold that keeps me from riding..it's the damn black ice and salt
That being said no better riding than NH in the spring through fall
year round I guess what everyone else is saying.....actually you could ride year round in my current location as well! As long as you like hot, sand and sun 365 days a year

hah beat me to it...
AZ isn't a little hot, it's a whole lotta hot. to me the heat exhausts me, just saps me of all my energy. i lived in temecula CA and it was unbearable and i think phoenix gets considerably hotter.
really nice country though, if i could stand that heat i would move there.
