Live in Michigan. Ride year round. Criteria: If roads are clear in winter and temperature is 30 degrees or higher I am riding. Two more years to retirement where winters will be in our codo in San Digo, less than a mile from several beautiful bike rides in east county San Diego.

Some "hard core" riders go year-round in NE, but I'm not a young sprite anymore so best to take NE off your acceptable list.

In the Southeast, anything south of the Fall Line (runs from Macon to Augusta) has a warmer winter climate. You can have extra cold or extra hot weather throughout the year, but there is also great riding weather every month of the year.

Enjoy the ride.

Default Year round riding

We in southern Nevada ride all year round except those few times when the temp hits 110 or higher. Plenty of wide open spaces, lots of small towns and no income tax. So, come on down, the weather is fine!! LOL

I only have a few days a year that I wont ride. If there is snow or ice on the roads thats it. But this only happens about 2-3 days a year.

Now, it can get cold here but not like up there. I did a toy run 2 years ago and it was 17 degrees when we started. By the end of the run it had warmed up to about 55.

It can also get hot here. Been over 100 most of this summer. But does not stop me from riding.

Personally I prefer desert or very low humidity, but anyplace that is warm and doesn't go into the deep freeze for the winter is someplace I would like to know about.

Thanks for your insight!
Compared to what you are used to.... almost any place in the lower 48 will be warm and year round riding.

Here in central North Carolina, we can ride year round, except for the occasional ice storm in winter, or a hurricane. We have the mountains, and the beach, and pretty good roads. Same can be said for South Carolina, and Georga. But it can be awful humid.... not too bad when youre rolling... just don't stand still.

If it's desert you want... New Mexico,Arizonia, parts of California, and Texas, are your best bet... save up for the spanish language lessons though...
