My buddy selling me his 81 shovel!! I know some ppl really arent into these bikes but i am so
Tranny needs to be replaced and bike needs tuned up not anything overwhelming. Getting a fair deal hes long time friend.
I plan on giving this to my wife for our 5th anniversary early next year!
(Big POINTS for me)
Just wanted to share it with you all and see if maybe i could get some female opinions, as to what i can do to make it feel anymore special for her. Shes pritty much a DOot de doo rider but if my wife wants her own bike ill be damned if its not a HD lol.
That's a neat looking bike and I love the old stuff but I wouldn't give my girlfriend a Shovel. instead I bought her a nice low maintenance evo Sporty. I don't mind working on my own bikes and those older bikes DO need working on a lot, but I hate working on other peoples bikes (even if it is my girlfriend). And if the Sporty gets jacked from some mall she's at, it wont break my heart like losing a cool azz Shovel.
Deff see your point about the maintenance. But my town has a population of about 1k ppl. Bike maintenance is about all that keeps me sane. I plan to make sure she knows all the basics of bike maintenance. I want her to get a sense of pride in her bike, only way to really do that is to put your own hands into working on it. But if she plans to ride it to work or anywhere else with out me for that matter, she needs to know the basics.
But maybe your right maybe i just love these old bikes to much
