I am not the type to count nickels and dimes, but when one dealer charges 488 for one thing and another charges 388 and yet another charges 357 for the same service I get a little fed up.

I am not saying everyone should price the same, but please at least close as possible.

Anyone else see that issue in their area?
try an indie shop there is one right next to you in hayward ron at rc cycles he does great work and very affordable and i think he is factory certified so as to keep youre warranty but check him out though and ask about it.

From conversations I've had with various service deptments, and looking over the "service menus" posted at dealerships in MY area.....

HD shop rates call for X hours per item, Each dealership charges $Y @ hour.

The BIG difference between the dealerships in my area, is one charges every possible hour they can, while the others, combine taks whenever thay can.

Thus Dealership A charges $500+ for the 10k services while Dealerships B, C, and D, charge between $230-250, Indy Shop E charges $230, and Indy shop F charges $350.

The top priced shop, also charges MSRP+ for the parts.... but "gives" their HOG members 15% off marked price. They however have the most rabid loyal customers of anyone....
