No Exhaust

Just wondering. While I'm waiting for my exhaust to come back from the coaters, what would happen if I started the bike without the exhaust, and let it idle for 30 sec. or so?

Flames..CHECK! Loud...CHECK! Burnt Valves...CHECK! CHECK! pretty much a bad idea prob. should just wait or find a buddy with a set of pipes layin around that would fit.. IM GUESSING YOU ARE DOING SOME MOTOR WORK WHILE EXHAUST IS OFF?

The flames are fun to watch......do it in a dark garage and make sure you have earplugs.

Personally, I wouldn't do it to the engine but I doubt it would cook the motor.

You're taking a chance of sucking cold air in and burning a valve. Thirty seconds doesn't sound like a long time but the explosion of the fuel is happening at the valves and they get white hot pretty quick. Suck, bang, blow but you don't want the blow to be your engine.
