Never a problem with it here in NE Tenn. Matter of fact it's all I run in not only my scoot, but my truck also. They're probably the least shady/ cleanest gas station around here.
I love the arm chair quarterbacks with no knowledge of the Petro industry.
Please. By all means. Enlighten us O God of Gasoline.
Tell us all about the "Petro" Industry.
Or did you mean Petrol Industry? Because that's funny when you try to be all smart like and then make a silly error like that.

Not trying to be smart, but with 10+ years in the gas hauling business, I think I've learned a thing or two. ;-)
Went on a 370 mile ride through the twisty and canyon mountain roads of Colorado yesterday. Absolutely bluebird day, weather cool and the roads finally dry. Found myself running a little low on fuel and stopped at a Shell station.
Normally I do not use Shell as its owned by BP. Usually use Bradley or Sinclair as they are from Wyoming.
Sure enough, had a bad batch of Shell premium fuel. Bike was running erratically at altitude going over Cameron Pass fifty miles west of Ft. Collins.
As soon as I got the chance in Walden to top 'er off, I did, at the Conoco station and NOT at the Shell station across the street.
I know Redmondp, put what are we going to do? Shell is my first choice for running in my 2007 HD Ultra Classic, my 1984 Carrera 3.2, my 1985 930, and my 2001 996 Twin Turbo. It works fine in all of them. No pinging, no dieseling, and no problems. Now if I could just find it w/o the dumb a _ s ethanol life would be good!
I know, don't hate you cause you got money. Why aren't you mixing your own gas, dang brand name dropper.

A buddy of mine works fuel systems maintenance, and has done tests on gas from various companies. Shell and Exxon fuel burned the cleanest, and had the lowest flash points. After hearing about his results, those are the only 2 that I use. Though Shell fuel is usually a couple cents more per gallon, I prefer to get gas there. My fuel economy is a little better, and I haven't had any performance issues yet. Make sure you're using their high octane fuel; that could create your ping.
There aren't many Shell gas stations around Minneapolis. I've bought their gas out "on the road" and don't remember having problems. 2 stations locally have switched to Shell. 1 is by my house, the other by werk. I guess I'll have to try their gas cause I'm lazy. They advertise as being Nitrogen enriched. Is this marketing double speak or is there a reason for this? To me gas is gas, and I look for the best price/octane.
