Although I am not ready to put my bike away for the winter I have a question about prep. I am doing my own services now and am ready for 10k service. The 10k calls for changing the engine oil and not the trans or primary. So my question is if I change the engine oil right before I store it will the trans and primary be ok if I leave them? Last time I changed them was 5k service done at the dealer. will any damage be done by leaving them? Corrosion or anything?
Any advice for the 10k service? I have the manual and proper tools other than an inch lbs torque wrench which I plan to buy.

Personally I change all fluids. You don't want old oil in there all winter. The tranny will most likely be ok but do the primary and fill up the tank and add some fuel stabilizer.
Thats what I figured. Normally I have the dealer do it all right before the winter. I usually wash wax jack her up and cover her. oh and hook up the tender.
I am also nervous about stripping the cover where the primary fluid goes after hearing so many horror stories.
