No salt in Chicago yet....but 19 degrees automatically says winter is here!
I buffed the bike with Menzerna polishes.....put 4 coats of Klasse All in One on it. Cleaned all of the chrome with glass cleaner and never dull, scrubbed the white walls and put it on a battery tender.
Its in front of my car now, I have to decide if I want it on a J&S Jack, or build a small stage out of wood and put it in a wheel chock.
The salt thingy is a real nightmare in the UK too. Last year we had a real bad winter with local authorities running out of salt.
This year not only are the stocks greater but now the authorities have made a salt slurry to spray onto the road and are using a new 'sticky' salt. Its designed to stick to anything and be a bugger to wash away, not only off the roads but also vehicles. I am so glad I but my bike off the road before salting started.
