Well, I guess I threw in the towel today. Weatherman calling for two to five inches of snow this weekend. Salt and brine all over the roads. I was holding out for just one more riding day in Northeast Ohio this season but I guess there is not much hope for that now. Changed my fluids; Sta-bil in the tank; battery out and on the tender; bike shined up and covered in the garage. Until Spring, all I have are my cycle magazines and this forum, so keep the posts coming .... looks like it's gonna be a long winter.
Same here..............mine has been in storage for 2 weeks. We had a great 70 degree day that I was able to ride, then they called for a snow storm that weekend. So I cleaned it all up, Star Tron in the tank, plugged the battery in, up on the lift, and covered her up.
The roads are all salt now...........between that pretreat brine and the salt after the past 2 storms, I'm not riding anymore. Not to mention it's only been 10-20 degrees lately.
Well I'll keep riding in NE Ohio for you, I had a free day yesterday and got about 100 miles in. When the snow is on the road I don't ride but we get days every month that are great for riding. I quit putting them up for the winter a few years ago.
And I am pissed because of all the rain this week and could not ride. Sorry for you guys up north, at least I will still be able to ride after it dries up.
That sucks...sorry about that guys. Supposed to be 65 and sunny in Houston today. Guess this is why we put up with 100 degrees and humidity in the summer. Come on down to the Republic of Texas!

Rode to Texas this summer. It was 107 degrees in the shade! Sure could use a little of that heat right now. We spent a few days in the Marble Falls area ... beautiful country! Then rode to San Antonio to see the Alamo. Cruised past Houston on our way to Natchez, MS to follow the Trace back north. Excellent trip, lots of scenery and historical interest.
