Well I finally broke down an put the Ultra to bed for the winter. Gave her a good cleaning and waxing and fogged the cylinders and put stablil in her after topping off the tank. Now I wish it was March already.
I do keep them on battery tenders, and even though the temperatures can fall well below zero during the winter (and we have plenty of snow) I very seldom go more than a week or so at a time without being able to ride.
It could be minus 10 with a foot of snow on the roads one day, and a week later it might be up in the 30's with clear roads. If the roads are clear and the temperature is 30 or higher I don't have a problem with going for a ride...
I really feel for all of you that have to put your bikes up for the winter due to ice, snow, and salted roads. Living in the south is hot as hell in the summer but I do get to ride all year long. BUT, in your case there is always snow mobiling.

If it wasn't for the salt I would be out more. They just salted this morning.
