Full Throttle
my wife and I go to ride the Black Hills and to enjoy the commroderie of other riders from all over, sharing stories about the ride there, seeing all the different bikes and people, on my second trip to Sturgis, I took some friends to a waterfall behind the resteraunt in Spearfish, they have been riding that canyon for 10 years and did not know it was there, so you learn something new each time if you look for it,and they are sharing their experience of the area with me, what good times and memories I cant wait to create more next year, Rim Rock Canyon was awesome Spearfish, Vanocker, all of them is just fantastic. Already planning..............
Growing up and watching Bruno Sammartino,
The Living Legend,
the WWF always said this was "real" tv. Most people knew it was fake but watched as a soap, and found it fun and entertaining.
Now the WWE no longer calls their wrestling real but entertainment.
However networks use the term "reality" to imply this is real. But there is a difference between stating something is real and "reality".
What is real is the editing and encouragement to get what the producers want.
The only thing real is a real bar with real people "acting" how they perceive how the networks want them to perform.
Now if you want real watch a documentary.
You want "reality" watch anything that has the word "reality" attached to it.
Bunch of people acting angry after reading the National Enquirer because of some headline only to put down the paper after reading it and be disappointed that the story was pure fiction. Same with "reality" tv.
Actually, you just reminded me of an interesting point.
I have a few buddies that refuse to ride unless they can nail down someone to ride with. They openly admit that it is not fun enough for them to go out alone.
On the other hand, there are days that riding solo is way more fun for me than meeting up with others. Solo eliminates the "waiting for everyone to show up",...... eliminates the fuss about stopping or not stopping.
Just go as you please and come home when you want.
Depends on the mood when I wake up, and the personalities of the ones calling to ride that morning.
But to never ride unless you can find a partner, screams "non biker"! LOL
I've been to the Throttle a few times, but after watching that show, that guy's an idiot, and so's his old lady. He's about as unprofessional as they come. Low freaking IQ as well. And no, I don't think it's just for TV, I think the stupidity is very real.
I guess they don't know it (or care, is my guess), but that TV show is doing NOTHING for the Sturgis rally numbers the next few years. Just look at the responses on here already.
I'm planning on going to Sturgis this coming year, but I'm gonna do what I used to do every year, and stay on the complete other side of town.
By the way, I don't mind dreadlocks, even on white guys, as long as they're done right or kept in a pony tail. He also needs to see a dentist - yikes.
Ive got to work on my life.
I know, Ill log onto their web site a buy some FTS t-shirts!
anyone here on the forum there that day?, sure was heartbreakin' watching all the bikes get hammered on during mama natures rage ... phhhuuuccck !
another thing to be proud of (in Michaels case) is having your ol'lady set the record for the most photographed *** ..., although I have "seen" much nicer.
all n all not a bad show... better than some of the POS reality shows.
I'll get there someday...
