Excuse my ignorance, but how do I measure the thickness of the cut? Wouldn't this simply be the thickness of the blade used to cut the pipe in half?
Thanks

I want to do Stage I, Rinehart slip-ons, and dyno to my 2011 103" SG.

But before I do all that, the cat has to come out. Am I better off removing the cat from the original pipe, or buying a new head pipe?

I don't want my exhaust to overpower my radio. Which is louder, an aftermarket head pipe, or stock pipe with cat removed?

Thanks

I have a few buddies that work at muffler shops, they get good money for catalytic converters because of the metals in them, so don't just throw that stuff out.

I use to get anywhere from 75.00 to 150.00 a converter.. some places won't take them anymore because of the high theft rate.. people have been sliding under 4wd vehicles with a portable sawzall and cutting them out of peoples vehicles..

Should I choose to cut the cat out of the stock pipe, what type of welder do I use to button it back up (mig, arc, brazing, etc.)?
Thanks
