I've saved the money and am torn. I don't know if I should go with the Kuryakyn LED Headlight, or the Harley LED headlamp PN 73390-10. I currently have the Kuryakyn running lights up front and the rear break and turn signals. I like the product and have no issues with them. However, I really like the look of the Harley LED front headlight.
What I’m looking for is the brightest and most reliable LED headlight. Does anyone have any experience with either? I'm a weekend rider, not an everyday rider, so the light will only be used a few hours a few times a month.
The Harley LED is $524.95 and the Kuryakyn is $299.00. is the Harley LED worth the extra $225.00?
Think of it this way...which has a better warranty? The Kury thing or the HD?
Which would be easier to get replaced, especially time-wise?
The Kury would have to be mailed or e-mailed, who knows how long discussing it all, etc, etc.
The HD - you ride to a dealership and get it fixed - Done...no waiting for the USPS or UPS, no arguing over the phone or in e-mails. It'd all be done face-to-face (although it's also possible you'd have to wait for the dealership to order the part).
Personally, *ALL* the aftermarket parts I've ordered, and tried to make fit on my bike - haven't worked out very well.
Granted, it wasn't anything like some nice new exhaust *system*, but things like a tall sissy bar, mufflers, headlight-bulbs, just little things like that. They didn't fit or look or work as nicely as the counterpart H-D part I replaced them with. So, with things the way they are *for me*, I'm going to spend my money on the H-D LED's for my Dyna when I get it saved up.
Just trying to give you another way of looking at it or thinking about it is all, not trying to say 'you must' do it this way or whatever.
A rider here just posted his performance and beam patterns of both lamps on this forum. I don't know if it's so totally worth it, but after checking out his post, I prefer the beam pattern of the HD led light over the other brand.
My $0.02
Bought my LED from SD Harley today. will take a week to come in, maybe longer, cause of all the snow back east... must suck having a off season for riding...
anyways, when i get the new LED, ill post pics and give a update...
