Default Replica Classic Hogs

Howdy all,
With the recent announcement of a famous aftermarket company’s contest to win a replica Pan Head, I got to remembering that years [and years and years] ago there was a magazine or catalog where you could buy the parts to build such a replica in your garage. I want to say it was called American Iron or Iron Horse or something along that line. Anyone remember or know of anything like this?
Thanks,

V-Twin makes replica kits, although I wouldn't dare buy one.

J&P has their Vintage Parts Catalog - you can get one for free. A lot of that stuff can be bolted on or easily modified to fit on new bikes. Might think about getting one of those and flipping through it.

Im thinking that S&S makes new old motors and Kiwi makes new old flat heads.

Thanks,
I'll bet you're remembering Supercycle magazine. The last several pages in the mag in the late 70s/mid 80s or so were a mini catalog for a company called Harley Nostalgia that sold lots of aftermarket H-D stuff. They also developed and sold the ill-fated Super Vee.

I remember when Harley started cracking down on copyright infringements, Harley Nostalgia changed its name to Nostalgia Cycles. They also put out full catalogs with the same naked chicks from the magazine. I always thought the magazine existed to push the parts business. I don't know if the company is still around. I did buy a Bendix carb from them once.

As for Supercycle magazine....R.I.P. Larry Flynt (not the original publisher) sold it to the Paisano, publishers of Easyriders who killed the title.

Thanks,
SuperCycle. They sold all the parts, including the ultimate wet blanket..the Super Vee engine, a 2 cylinder engine which was 1/4 of a small block Chevy. There was alot of crap available back in the day. SuperCycle was notorious for this junk. Half the rag was this merch.

Yea, that sounds right. I don't remember Supercycle but Harley Nostalgia does sound familar.

Thanks,

It's not a magazine, but if you're looking for an aftermarket rep, here is one of many.
