I don't know if this is a kit or not. The company that makes the bike has the bike with a Heartland rear end kit. So I hoping that this rear end is a kit as well because it looks beautiful. Does anybody recoginies this rear end? :hmmm: The Company that makes the bike is Thunder Mountain Custom Cycles and they want like 34 grand for the bike that they say is made of 90% Harley parts????

Well anyway I sure hope someone can identify the kit if it is a kit. Here are a few pictures and a link

Guess im lost but whats so special about the rear end? Plenty of wide tire kits out there, even harley sells one.

Yes, Denbo it does look sweet, nad although the seat is harder than a Corbin it should be soft enough with the softail. I love this look on that bike.

Gunrunner, I don't have the tools or the knowledge to fab the rear end up with welding the fender and making a plate to cover the frame where the oem seat goes and to make a seat like that. But I do have the knowledge and tools to chop the stock fender struts and bolt a kit together. The fender is bolted to the swing arm and makes it one piece so they travel together. Does it look like any wide tire kit you know of?

Why would you spend 34,000 and then cut it up the rear looks good enough,all it really needs is a springer front end.

I wouldn't, but I would buy an 06 or 07 Softail and put the kit on. A guy from another site found it.

Plenty of kits out there but if you just want the look with strutless fender, check J&P cycles, harley parts section, heres one they have;

Milwaukee Iron sheet metal fenders are formed with 14 gauge cold roll steel tops and 16 gauge laser cut sides. Each is then hand fitted, TIG welded and detail sanded so it is ready for primer and paint when it arrives. The Self-Supporting feature allows direct-to frame mounting without the need for external fender struts. This short skirted (1-1/4" side skirts) chopper look is designed for stock or aftermarket Softail style frames 1985-99 with strut support "horns" removed and 11-3/4" frame top width. Made in the USA.

They have ones for later years also.
