Just got back from Daytona. Went up Saturday, and went to Pub 44. Almost empty. So last night we rode up to the Broken Spoke, and Smileys. Spoke ended up closing around 1130 pm. There was maybe 100 people there. Camped at ABATE campground at the Volusia County fairgrounds. Pretty much deserted.
Been going on and off for a number of years. Never seen it like this. But all tolled, a good ride up and back. 600 miles plus for me. But I am about 220 miles south of the campgrounds.
Maybe this weekend will be better. Normally go up the second weekend. I'd ride up again, but alas, I have to work sometime.
I don't know what you're talking about but friday it was packed around Main St and Destination along with Iron Horse. Saturday was even more people...all over. Sunday was to rain and today is kinda dang cool(50's right now) but tomorrow and on is mid 70's.
I was there on Friday and Saturday. It was a mob scene on Saturday. Everywhere was packed. It was hard to find a place to park on Beach and Main Street. The Tomoka Loop was full, it was like riding in a parade. The week usually builds starting on the Wednesday before the last weekend and then it's even more crowded if you can believe. Since Bike Week and Spring Break are overlapping this year it's been pretty interesting.
