Winter trip to Phoenix
and AZ looks good. We're thinking about using Phoenix as a base and doing
day trips with maybe one overnight. What are the temps like in the Payson,
Prescott, Grand Canyon area in March? I know it's pretty nice in the valley
there in March, but was wondering how much the temps change when climbing
to the higher elevations in March. I'm using cyclerides.com as a reference
and it's an awesome website!
Having said all of that, AZ has some beautiful weather to ride in...especially in the Winter. Just got to watch out for all of the snow birds.

I live in the Phoenix area. If you are here in March, the weather in the lower country will be very nice. Warm enough days and cooler evenings and nights. If you go to the mountains (Payson, flagstaff, Grand Canyon) you could very likely run into snow and COLD weather in March. I have been on the freeway near Flagstaff in April and seen snow covered roads. Last winter we had a day where you could see snow in the mountains just north of Mesa.
