I agree. Get the shovel and I'll go ahead and take the FXR off his hands. Just send me some pics and I'll be down this weekend.

I would go with the FXR because it is better set up for my riding style.

Of course there are a lot of variables, but using only your limited supplied information, I'd say the 80 in. FXR is probably the best deal. Having said that, personally, I am partial to the 74 in. FLH (see sig pic). I'd try to get them to come down a little on the FLH. None of what I've said means anything if the engines, tranny, electrics, etc. are shot or need rebuilt. You'll just have to check them out before you buy. Hope this helps.

The Shovel will get more attention...The FXR has a more bulletproof drivetrain...all depends on what you want...me I would get the Shovel.

Well since I own a Twincam and an Evo FXR I guess I would have to add the Shovel to the collection.

The FXR (I had '89 FXRS-SP) is the best-handling Harley ever, and would be way more fun and hold its' value better. The dual-discs are far superior.

I am partial to the FLH. Will need to put more work into it probably, but if you are mechanical i say it is the nicer of the two
