OP: sounds like you will definitely need some kind of tuner.
i have a power commander V and like it. it does most (all? not sure) of what oldairboater said about the SERT/SEST. PCV maps seem to be readily available (and free) for nearly any configuration you can throw at it; i assume that is true for SERT as well.
slightly off topic: i MUCH prefer dealing with ECU mappings than carburetors. seems a lot easier and so much less time consuming. yay technology.
Take a look at the Power Vision by Dynojet. It is not a "piggyback", it programs the ecm. And you'll get excellent support from FuelMoto with their library of hundreds of maps.
I have a tuner I will sell. I just took it off my 2010 Limited. I purchased it last year while in Sturgis when I had Rinehart do a stage 1 on my bike. The tuner is made for Rinehart by Dynojet and is almost identical to the PCV. I wasn't sure I was getting all the performance I should from the Rinehart RPM and ordered the PCV from Fuel Moto for $299.00 plus shipping. I can't tell the difference from one to the other. The Rinehart RPM has a CD and all the instructions and USB cable to upload maps for almost any configuration. I'll take $155 shipped.
