Could be why the bike sold with less than 3k miles on it. I've tweaked my stock carb to match my engine improvements and can get 45-49mpg on the highway. Sounds like the aftermarket items weren't matched/tuned to each other.
You didnt say if it had a bigger cam, which is probably the case.
If the old owner did a power upgrade then it sounds like an improper tune.
The bigger cam will reduce your fuel mileage.
I have some old parts that came off my bike PM me if want them.
Way to small for the motor? Give me a break! Unless the motor has really been built up a lot and a lot of cubes added a SuperE will handle it just fine. I think the guy your talking to is trying to pry some bills out of your wallet.
i think i could run in second gear on the highway and still get better gas mileage than that and my bike has major motor mods... something is def wrong...
Hey if it was my scoot and it was sucking gas like that I would pull the plugs after a decent ride and scopem out.... yours are more than likely soot black... way to rich....I agree with the other guys regarding the SS carbs... nice and simple nothing sophisticated about them... do you have a black exhaust when you blip it hard....take the air cleaner off and look down the throat of the beast when it is running....maybe the jet is loose ....with it idling shine a flashlight in the carb and see if fuel is visable....at idle you may or may not see any fuel....when you bring the rrrs up you will see fuel being sucked out of the jets...just a few ids..... hope it helps.... when in doubt check the plugs for the right mixture.....sorta like the filter on a winston....
9 inches got cut out of your baffles. And you've got short shots? Right. You're a troll. Just admit it. Your posts prove it. This is why you're confused. Go back to your games little one.
