WOW! and I mean zero disrespect at all but in 30+ years of riding, this post is the very first time I have EVER heard Harley riders not know this terminology. I just assumed it was pretty standard speak. But you know what happens when one assumes.....

Who knows, maybe it's a regional thing. I've had Harleys for 45 years and this is the first time I've seen anyone refer to a regular old normal front end on a Dyna, FX or anything else as being a narrow glide. Wide glide, yes. Narrow glide, no. My experiance has been that those with a wide glide refer to it as such. Those that don't have a wide glide just don't distinguish it as being narrow. I.E. The forks on my wide glide vs my forks. My front end vs my wide glide front end. That sort of thing. I've heard guys that have done a mod to a bagger say that they put a narrow front end on their bike, but I never heard them say I put a narrow glide on my bagger. Who knows. It's not important anyway.

H-D makes it because there is a *** for every seat!

Yeah it doesn't really matter I guess, but for me, the narrow glide term popped up after the creation of the 49 mm mid glide. Again for me, the mid glide is the perfect Dyna front end, but so is the wide and narrow, lol...

Well back in the early 70's when you chopped your ulh or your flh you "narrowed and extended your glide" Yea you could buy the bolt on stuff but doing your own was great.
