Default d***it!!!!!!

So I'm out of town for work, and get a call from my buddy saying he crashed my bike today, was wondering if anyone is familiar with the fxr tanks...since I've never had to take them off I am not sure if my 92 has a one piece or two piece tank like the older ones.....input is greatly appreciated......

Can't help you with your tank, but man that sucks. Bet that's the last time one of your friends ever rides your bike again.

Well Jla, as much as it does suck, I'm trying to be optimistic about it, meaning he's paying for a new tank, forward controls, new paint and whatever else it may need......his soon to be wife however may not be so thrilled when she realizes her honeymoon to Tahiti just turned into a camping trip at the lake.....so long as its back together before thunder beach rally I'm not gonna bitch too much....

If it's the stock tank, I believe it's one piece. At least the one on my 90 was.

Received the same call from my best friend about 5 years ago. Wanted to kill him, but he made good and all is well. I have however never let him ride my bike again.

Should be a one piece, no shortage of them on ebay....200-300 for a decent tank. Tell your buddy to have it fixed before you get home lol.

Found about 30 tanks for 92 fxr on ebay. Price range - 175 and up, hope this helps.
Recommend that you tell your friend to get his own bike. Although he could buy you a new one and he can have yours.
