XR1200x or Night Rod SE. The XR is cheaper but the Rod looks awesome, is it worth a few extra grand?

I guess it's all a matter of which one blows your skirt up.

The XR grabs me but that's because it reminds of the older XR 750's and 1,000's.

I can't believe I'm admitting it here, but I've always wanted to try and possibly own a VRod. There I said it....do I feel better?....NO!. Regardless, I think they are both nice bikes and as carlgrover said, whichever one blows your skirt up (which I'd like to witness BTW).

NightRod has a great motor and a lousy riding position.
XR1200 rocks.
Rode 'em both. Bought a Road King.
Oh well.

No Harley is worth the money it cost, riding the Harley that you enjoy the most is worth the cost. Get the one that you want more and can afford.

I only know 1 person who bought an XR1200 and he didn't have it long before he traded it in for a Dyna. I guess the novelty wore off. I don't see any of them on the street. I think the night rod is the best looking V Rod. A hot chick in black leather on a Night Rod would look even better.

Nightrod would be my choice but I'm biased good luck with whatever your choice is both are great bikes.
