I take one as I have to carry my logs with me at all times and I am currently slip seating at work so I never know what truck I will be in. Also keep extra gloves, rain coat, hat, extra pens and anything else I need. I ride my bike everyday and I bought one of those cargo nets and strap my backpack on the luggage rack takes about 30 seconds.

I'm sorry guys, but my limited experience shows that you can't even feel a freaking backpack after a few minutes. Just ride and you'll soon forget about it. Seriously.

Raising my center of gravity? LOL... We're talking about a backpack.

If I used a backpack, I'd go for this one.

Of course it does. That's why I'm not going to intentionally strap anything on my back when I can put it somewhere else.

I had to wear a backpack to get my laptop back and forth to work before I got my bags. I hated wearing it, not for aesthetic reasons, but because it made my back sweat like a mother****er in the summer. I couldn't give less of a **** what anyone thinks about the way I look when I'm on my bike.

Either you are joking, or you just don't what the F you are talking about. I think it's the latter.
