I did the 4" ones on my FatBoy along with the good bushings...what a difference! It feels so good I've actually even thought about trying the 6".
For those of you with the 6" risers, did you have to do anything cable and wire wise? I have changed all of my cables and brake line to Chromite, pretty sure they would all be long enough. Not so sure about the wiring from the handlebars though, I don't recall there being that much to play with there when I put on the 4's, not sure if there would be enough to go another 2". What did you guys have to do?
I think u would be pushing it.
Mine sure wouldn't it was kinded tight on the 4 inch.
Added 2 1/2" longer risers to my '08 FXDC just before I went on a 4k+ trip last fall. Made a world of difference! No more lower back pain, and my legs even felt better after a 12 hour day in the saddle>
With 4" pullback risers on the Fatboy, is that around the same result as the Heritage stock bars?
I bought a set of 4.5 inch pullback risers from a Deluxe that Malingerer had, and mounted my stock Heritage bars on those. Made a world of difference. My bar height across the top of the grips is 15.25 inches, and I made no cable changes...had plenty of slack. I did remove one brake line clamp.
All it did was confirm the fact that I need taller bars with a bit more pullback.
