That it was time to move on to another scoot? I've been wanting another hd for a couple of years now, but it just never came to pass. Mostly because I had alot invested in my ride and I just wasn't ready to part with it,(my wife felt the same to) that is, until now.
Was it gradual or an all of the sudden moment?
I knew it was time to move on from my Sportster that I loved when it was burning a quart of oil every 500 miles after the 1250 kit was put on it. Got tired of carrying oil with me and decided to trade it in for my Street Bob. Haven't regretted it a bit.
When? When I was sliding down the freeway on my *** at about 70mph and could hear my bike making a big crashing sound every few seconds. It was rather sudden.

I will just add another to the stable. Been thinking about a Springer Classic with the Evo engine. I want to get it custom painted and rigged solo. As long as I ride them enough to keep the maintenance down they stay.
