Default Extra hole
I noticed a hole in my Dyna trans side cover. I thought I had lost a screw, but I noticed all are that way. What is this hole for?

I think its a locating pin to line the cover up when installing.

Is it a hole in the side cover or the hole in the exhaust mount that bolts to the trans and sits over another bolt?

when I started my Apprenticeship yrs ago another new guy drilled a hole through a piece and drilled right in the table of an almost new Bridgeport mill.

Being almost dead center in the table and Thinking fast, he tapped it, put a screw in it and punch "OIL HERE" above the screw...
He almost got away with it too. Took about a month for some one to find out

If its at about 3 0'Clock, there's just a drift pin in there...No worries
