I used some 3M polishing compound. Took a little elbow grease, but it got the job done, no more scratches. Sorry I don't remember the specific name. Suggest checking with an auto paint supply store.

There is a great product called Scratch X by Meguires. Works especially good on HD softer clear coat. Just do not go so hard on it that you wear through the clear, although HD's is usually fairly thick.

Pick up a Quixx Paint and Scratch Remover kit.Its a 2 part kit that comes with everything you need to remove fine scratches.I got mine at Autozone, well worth the money spent on it.

Scratch X or Hd SWIRL mark remover... 3M also has a fine scratch remover...Just remember that clearcoat is really thin and eventually you can buff through it.

a small buffer with some compound would do the trick just make sure if you go this route always buff of the edge never onto it will burn through the clear fast. good luck on whatever method you choose.

I have a black cherry classic and can't stand the small surface scratches. Yes, I have issues, but that is just the way I am. I have had great success with Meguiar's cleaner wax in the red/silver bottle. I like the liquid better than the paste because you are always using fresh cleaner out of the bottle. Make sure the surface is very clean. Watch out for your polishing towel hitting a tire or brake caliper. If it does get a new one. I put the cleaner on with a damp paper towel and spread without actually rubbing the paint. Then I use a high quality micro fiber towel to polish out the scratch. Limit the area you are working on. A straight line is best, but go in different directions. Polish gently, less is best, light pressure. Takes longer, but results are better. You don't want to make a bigger mess than you already have. Make sure the polish is completely gone before it dries. Use a second micro fiber for the final polish and wipe. Stay away from the pledge as it offers no polishing and does not protect. Once a good coat of wax is laid down, most scratches will come out with very light polishing. Chasing scratches can become an obsession, so be careful, I will get some counseling one day when I have the time.

When I do trial & error on paint, I do it on my lawn mower first. I have polished out scratches with water paper & compounds. Best wax I have used so far is "Auto Glym". recomended by a high quality body shop here. & I have the best looking lawn mower around!!
Hatch.
