I have been reading the threads, know where to put my gas cap, lemon pledge, and wife. Got the warnings on the blinker fluid, etc.
It did not occur to me to be sure I have no folding money in the chest pocket before I hit the highway. The second I saw it flash in front of my face I knew that it was my $80 blowing out of my life forever.
What have you guys lost on the road? Where you able to go back and find it?
I don't think I've ever lost anything on the highway, but it's just a matter of time. I've left home without my helmet. Ridden for hours with saddle bag flaps open. Gotten to the store to find that my billfold was at home... at some point I'm sure I'll leave something unsecured and lose it.
Funny. This morning I was going directly to the base, so I had my ID in the little ID holder on my stupid yellow vest. IT attaches with velcro. When I got on the highway, I set the cruise and kicked my feet up on the highway pegs, suddenly something hit my arm. It was my ID in the holder and it was floating around in the turbulence in front of me between the fairing. It took about four tries before I was able to ****** it. Thankfully, I maintained control and the cruise did its job... I tucked it in my pocket till I got to the base and will NOT be using that feature of my vest anymore!!!
