If you can convert inches to feet (divide by 12), you don't need a converter. But you DO need both a small 3/8"-drive (inch/pounds) plus a larger 1/2"-drive (foot/pounds) torque wrench to do routine maintenance on the Harley's. The beam-type is very cheap.

There seems to be confusion with in lbs and ft lbs with some people on the forum in earlier threads about this subject... make sure you have it correct or you will end up snapping off a bolt and multiply your problems rather quickly.

you don't need an online converter, 12 inch lbs = 1 foot lb, just like 12 inches = 1 foot. the inch lb torque wrench is likely all you need if you're not removing the head bolts. i would've paid to see you put those rocker bolts back and torque it 90 foot lbs though... i thought maybe you were working on a tank.

:-) I'm glad you guys told me it was a bit odd. I just checked the service manual and it is indeed 90 - 120 IN-lbs.

When I worked for Home Depot back in the day, we referred to the return desk the "tool rental" dept.
