A friends riding website, DELAWARE specific..
A friend of mine just started a website specific for Delaware area riders, based on legal info and local happenings. He also has a nice little forum area. It is called Delaware Freedom Rider, and the website is http://www.delfreedomriders.com/
Please drop by and show your support, or at least take a look. Hell, stay and post if you want!
My first forum took off like hotcakes then it took its time at slowing down
when I finally ranout of webspace and changed servers it took a while to get things working right
but now all is up and running and we have 5 other sites built out of it .
so I guess what I am trying to say in time I hope things work out well and it does look like he is off to a good start
he is keeping with his main site content ..... maybe he will pick up a few more ride sections
I'm not sure what his true goal is, but he will do his best, no doubt!
It is a resource and activists site. The resources are there, the activism falls upon you, the rider, to "act". If you don't act, when Senator Lautenberg puts a lid on your head, you'll have no one to blame but yourself.
Also, it is a site that was created by a Woman, that has echoed the same sentiments that a lot of other SMRO members have...apathy, cliques, charity rides for entities that could give two $hits about your freedoms when the doo-doo hits the fan, just your money.
Monstermile, it looks as if you've answered your own question.

The impetus for this site came from a general frustration, like Monstermile states, with the politics of existing so-called SMROs in the State. I feel that protecting your rights as a rider do not involved charity runs, road cleanups, or even get-togethers. What is needed is true ACTIVISM. This can only come from being informed and by sharing resources and ideas with others.
To yost44, yes, there are other sites like this. Check out the Virginia Freedom Riders - RACE site at
http://www.vfr-race.com/. Similar sites are starting up in other states. We have met many of these Freedom Fighters, and exchange ideas with them. They are lightyears ahead of Delaware in terms of motorcycle rights. The two guidiing principles are knowledge and the impetus to take meaningful action. Our freedoms and our rights as riders will be taken away unless we wake up.
Again, thanks for the input. I encourage you to visit the site and contribute to the forum. We haven't officially 'advertised' this yet ... that will come in early January.
