Seriously it's getting to the point that it's almost RARE to see someone ONLY driving their car without any kind of cell phone use. I try to live and let live but I can't help but think if some distracted driver ever hit me....(or anyone else, my 2 wheeled brethren) (and sistren) ...it wouldn't be good.
It's a shame that someone has not invented a device that creates a six foot dead zone for cell phones, and have them installed in all vehicles. That would stop the carnage texting brings....

Not only driving while texting..but I have seen females putting on makeup, guys brushing thier hair...shaving...
Everyone practically lives in thier vehicles-2 jobs etc.. trying to catch up..make ends meet financially..etc..
I ride like I skydive-ready and expect a malfunction...and ready and expect all drivers not to see me! The deer..dogs..and yes..even turtles are another story.
Would love to see a helmet made with a HUD (Heads Up Display) and a voice activated aiming device like a fighter pilot - with a terabyte of memory to film some of the stuff I have seen since getting my bike!
I sware one of these day's i'm going to buy one of those cell phone jammers and mount it on my bars and **** some folks off. Way too many close calls on the freeway.

Do a Google search for cell phone jammers. for around 150.00 I think you can get a hand held one that covers 50 feet. Bout the size of a walkie talkie.

Imagine the distraction caused by people messing with their phones because they suddenly don't work.
Kinda like watching Nascar for the wrecks. "Yes officer I was distracted when my cell phone shut off in the middle of a text while getting on the freeway".
