One of my bikes is running different. Slower to warm up and even out. Exhaust sounds different. Just changed plugs and wires over this issue. Hasn't changed anything so next I am pulling a fuel sample with the reserve kicked in to see if there is something in the bottom of the tank. Will put a few more miles on the bike then recheck plugs and see what it looks like. I hate looking for a slight problem because it is tempting to just throw parts on the bike and waste money because if it is going to quit on me. It will quit when it is dark, mosquito's are bad, during a rain storm, with the wind blowing sixty miles per hour sideways, in a neighborhood that would test out my aiming ability and clip limit. Wished they would all break down just as I pulled up to the garage.
That is next. We have a problem with fuel separation here over humidity and ethanol. I have been riding this bike for the last two weeks to make sure I am rotating fuel. I am fighting a summer head cold this week and I really do not like putting my head down to work on anything right now. Gas sample and sea foam seem to be the easiest way to go right now. If it persist I will get into this problem more in depth next week---I don't like it when my crap ain't right.
you didn't get the ''breakdown as pulling into garage'' package. well worth it.
sounds fuel related to me, ethenol gas+ metal tank+ temp swings= condensation. hell I would completely drain the tank, pul your pet **** out clean screen, fuel up with fresh gas and some seafoam, maybe even drain bowl first and allow it to fill up witht he fresh treated jet fuel mixture.
