Bite the bullet.. go stage 1, get a tuner and get some gas into it... Blame EPA...not Harley
Then relax and get some ear plugs

wow codedawg, that sucks.
Have you been around other Harleys, so that you are familiar with their sound? Does yours sound similar? I ask because you don't indicate your background. If you've only been around Goldwings, then you might think your TriGlide is self-destructing.

I have never heard of going stage 1 to make it quieter.

Get a second opinion.

Possible troll action? A guy who owns a trike with a user name of CodeDawg? Kind of an oxymoron since most trike riders are fairly mature in age.

Is it your first bike with a fairing? The fairings do reflect a lot of noise, and block wind noise.
Take it to another dealer and have it checked out. Get a receipt stating that the noise is normal.
Ride it. If it blows warranty should cover it and you may be able to just pay the difference for some upgrades.

It sounds like the you've never owned/ridden a Harley. They make noise. I, like others here wonder what type of bike you're coming from? If you are coming from a Honda or BMW I can see how you feel the HD is loud; but bad enough you really think its going to blow up??? As others have stated; take it to another dealer and while you're there listen to the other bikes rolling in and out. Maybe have them start up another new bike to compare it to yours.

Maybe fine someone else with a HD and ask them what they think about the noise.

I went back to the dealer about the issue but there solution is to change the exhaust, a stage one kit, and also the engine super tuner all this for $2400.00 and this may or may not fix the issue. I feel I should not have to fix this, it is harley's problem and I don't see how I should have to pay anything after spending the thousands of dollars for what is supposed to be a great bike. I cannot believe Harley would do this after selling me this trike for the amount of money I had to put out. They should have let me know before I put all this money down and I would have reserved the extra money down before hand, now I am just screwed. When you buy any other vehicle from a dealership, you should not have to expect to spend all this extra money just tyo drive it home. Any advise you can provide will be very appreciated Thanks for your help
Sell it!

High octane rating and an Imperial gallon help explain why you pay $7.00 a gallon for gas.

Get the upgrade and get a good loud exhaust, then you will not hear the motor pinging.

Nah... it's the duty rate and the VAT.
