I've been riding Harleys my whole life and have seen, but never really thought about this one thing. I don't know, maybe it's just old age. But my question is why someone rides with leather gloves in the middle of the summer when it's 95 degrees out? Always just thought to each his own, but the other day was really hot and it made me think when I saw this guy. He was on a Harley, though, so I guess it's alright?
In case you fall what's the 1st body part to hit the ground? Probably your hands. I wear thin leather gloves even in the summer and most of the time I wear my leather jacket.
I wear padded fingerless gloves. Usually a short sleeve short and jeans. Have long boots but seldom wear them. Matter of choice I guess. I saw a guy/gal full leathers, full face, full gloves. When I looked at my thermometer on the bike it read exactly 100*. Shook my head and rode on. We are all strange in our own ways I guess.
Yes, I have, but I believe the pain is a little more intense on the face. Do they make a leather mask? The sweating thing makes a little sense I guess. If I worried about my hands I would probably be a helmet wearer, which I've never been.

I admit I would have looked if you'd been wearing your short sleeve short.
For Soldiers, you are required to wear them on and off duty, have to wear full finger gloves. There is some debate what would happen if you get into an accident and arent wearing them...
