Got 17 on you , you've fun to come yet . Took a few hard slams in my 30's and I swear I feel them more now than when it went down . Got lucky eyes didn't start the games till over 50 so I can't complain but the keyboard needs bigger keys I swear .
My eyes aren't too bad, just enough that I noticed it. I used to be able to read extremely small lettering. Now I struggle with it...I won't even start with fly tying, I think they started making #18 and higher hooks, smaller just to mess with me. I've got a buddy a couple years your senior (pun intended), he plans to ride at least another 20 years. If I make it that long I'll be happy too.
i wear jell padded gloves all summer, if i don't my hands get numbed up. at 62 and being a mason since 17 my hands are not what they used to be. the gloves are leather palm but material on top.
My hands sweat too. In addition to all the great responses about protecting your hands when your time comes, and it will, my gloves keep the grips from getting slippery from the sweat. Even though it's 90+ degrees, the gloves I wear allow the air to flow through, and it cools my hands when I ride.
I'm the same age as Twizted. My elbow is STILL pretty razzy from my crash back in March. It has me thinking of maybe some elastic elbow guards on the long runs. One thing we older dudes can't take is a second hit on a spot. That will follow you.

Bitch when the body starts arguing with you about healing and no joke about that second hit thing that brings the Neanderthal Alpha male shrug it off stuff to a screeching halt .
