I'm a newbie here. Seems like there are some very knowledgeable people here. I have a question about my 02 hugger. I bought the bike 2 years ago with 1200 miles. I love the little thing and have put nearly 8k on it since then.
My question is, has anyone had or heard about an issue with the bowed snap ring that holds the detent plate in place in the primary gear box? I have had to replace that rascal twice in that 8 thousand miles. The part is only 3 bucks, but it is a 150 dollar job to have it done, and I don't think I want to do it myself. My repair guy is top notch, but he cannot tell my why this is happening. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
