How do you guys dry your bikes after a wash? Looking for a better way! In the past i just wash the bike and then dry it with a towel or shammy of some sort but eventually swirls and fine scratches would accumulate! So im looking into one of the Bike dryers like the Hog blaster or whatever its called to just blow dry the bike with out touching it! Heard of guys using leaf blower too! I just want to keep the new bike i just bought mint so i figure before i wash it come up with a better way right from the start!
I wipe down with a microfiber towel (also wash with a microfiber towel and lots of water).
After the wipe down I take a quick ride, then wipe up the drips. I tried using a leaf blower, it worked fine. I don't use the leaf blower to suck up leaves or other crap, it just blows.
I've also heard of guys using the exhaust port on a vacuum cleaner.
Picked up a leaf blower at Home Depot on sale for $20.00. Does a good job but I do wear hearing protection when using it as it's noisy. I try not to get to close to wiring and switches, use a micro fiber towel to mop up spots and take a quick ride to shake out any excess water in cracks and crevices.
Don't know why an expensive "bike dryer" would be any better than a leaf blower though. The leaf blower sucks in air right next to your hand so it's not picking up any debris from the ground or anywhere else and I've not had any issues using it on my bike.

I use this, http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-S...4226999&sr=1-1 it works great, small enough to take to work if i plan to wash it there, It puts out a steady warm air that gets the water off the bolts and emblems etc.then just a touch up with a towel.
