I live in MA and when I ride in the winter it's with FF helmet, heated jacket liner and heated gloves. But the downside is the roads have to be clear of ice and snow which for the past couple years has been far and few between.

Wiping your glasses with old fashion shaving cream will prevent then from fogging up.,,

I wear a full face, I breathe in my nose and out my mouth. If you get the right rhythm woorks pretty good. My helmet came/ with a deflector but I never tried it. If you use a helmet liner over your mouth with nose free it helps.

My coldest ride was 17 degrees, FF, shield cracked one notch, and a thin wicker balaclava on. Insulated leather gloves worked fine as this was on a FLHTC, but toes got cold (I can't do heavy insulated boots and ride)...so I went with heated socks the next time. Also have a heated vest now...but have yet to need it with my layers.
