Has anyone ever seen this? I must have led a sheltered life but I never have seen these on a bike before! Are they legal?

Yeah, old school. Seen them on street rods first then motorcycles. I actually know a couple of guys that have them on their bikes. Cool the first few times you see it but then the novelty wears off.

Ya must be 50 or under. These were a big thing guys would put on their cars back in the 50's. Drill and tap a hole in their exhaust for a spark plug. Inject gas into the pipe before the plug, and walla...flamethrower. Cant think of any law that makes them illegal but surely they have to be

Well, that'll decrease the chance of some bimbo/douchebag running into you from behind when you're stopped at an intersection because "she/he didn't see you"

I'm surprised Harleys don't do that right off the showroom floor--they certainly run hot enough.

BTW anybody know where that is? Looks like Greenpoint, Brooklyn--around Meeker-Morgan aves.

Had an old BSA 650 set up like that with short turn out TT pipes , hit the button and a good 4 foot of flame out the sides . Cool as hell on the cruiser blvd but the cops seriously didn't like it .

Bingo. It amazes me when I see these "kits" on Egay for $100-$300... wonder what the buyer thinks when he/she opens the box and sees a spark plug, switch, and wire.

While I don't think they are illegal in themselves, there a lot of laws regarding burning and burning devices, and of course you cannot damage property with them.
