I've noticed on my '07 street bob that while I am traveling at lower speeds I can hear a slight noise from my front brake, like it's rubbing enough to make slight noise but not really dragging per say. Is this normal? If not how do I go about correcting it?
Do you think an over tightened axel nut would cause this? I may have over torqued it when putting the new tire on a couple weeks ago.

I had that rubbing noise last summer, had my breaks changed, and it sounded about the same. They said it was normal, although my 2012 altra does not have any break noise.
Pull off the caliper(s) in the front, pump the brake to extend the pistons, use a q-tip and/or toothbrush with some dilute dish soap and wash all the crud off of the pistons.
Then, apply a tiny bit of grease to the rod that the pads slide back and forth on (NOT the pad surfaces of course).
Essentially, it sounds like your pads are binding a little and the areas I just mentioned are the likely culprits.

So you figure the pads aren't retrackting properly? I will have to give that a try, I am positive I have over torqued the axel nut, so I will adjust that to the correct spec's which I think is 55ft/lbs and see if that corrects it, if not I'll give the pistons a wash/grease.
I thought it was coming from the rear. Anyway, dealer says normal. Told me it was the tires making noise on the pavement. Even when I said, "uh, it's not constant, it's like a bad bearing or warped rotor sound", they stuck to their story.
So I'll just wait until whatever it is dies, and if I don't die with it, I'll make them fix everything.

Yeah, retorque the axle nut properly and see if that fixes it, and THEN check out the brakes.
Path of least resistance is good to follow when trouble shooting.
So retourqued nut to 55 ft/lbs, and popped off the caliber and cleaned the pistons. Ended up going out a little later and wouldn't you know, I forgot to see if it was doing it still hahaha.
