I wear a half helmet as I do want to be around for when my son decides he wants to ride in the future. He just got his driving permit so hopefully after college he will get riding bug And I want to be there to ride with him.

While I do not have my Street Glide yet(hopefully in the next couple weeks) I do have both a 3/4 Simpson and a full face Arai Quantum. I wear the full face more when it is cold out to keep the wind off my face.

The only functional usefulness of 1/2 helmets is to satisfy the law requiring that a helmet be worn. They're not much good for anything else, at least in terms of crash worthiness. Not saying I don't have one....
