Ok, couple posts asked where in NC this occurred, happened just north of uptown charlotte, its actually called north charlotte near eastway, sugar creek, the plaza, north tryon area. i will admit i reacted wrong in this situation. I was not scared or upset when he pulled his gun. I got irrate, which was absolutely stupid. It didn't hit me until i got down the road a few miles the severity of the situation i was just in. Even if I was in the right, dont make any difference if i'm dead right. I like a lot of had never really thought of what i would do if that situation ever occurred. This doesn't mean i'm gonna start riding with two six guns on my side and a shotgun across my back, it just means i"ll be alot more aware of situations and look for situations going in a bad direction. Basically be more aware of whats going on around me and i'm not talking about defensive driving. Yes, i will still carry a firearm cause its my right and this in know way makes me feel like i'm itchin for a fight, if carrying makes you feel like that then please dont. i carry whether i'm on my bike or not. i don't think this incident was just because i was on a bike this could have happened to anyone on a bike or not. Like a couple of posts stated this could happen to any of us at anytime, do not wait until it happens to you to figure out what your gonna do, just a thought.
I don't really know how the liberals got brought into this post but some dang good posts on them,
Its time people in this country stand up for what is right. If your here illegally you are a criminal and do not get the same rights as citizens of this country including the right to assemble(protest). Sorry, not a political person but I, like a lot of y'all am sick of this liberal crap.(Ok, i'm off my soapbox)

Reason: quote myself
I would have tossed a hand grenade inside his cab and slowly ridden off. Watch the explosion in the rear view mirror. He wouldn't be pulling that stunt again.
To OP: I carry all the time, on bike or off. As far as gloves go, my revolver has all of trigger guard removed forward of trigger. Easy access. As far as ratoinalizing what a guy with a gun will do, most gunfights I've seen were in or outside of bars. Person getting shot had at most maybe a second maybe less to see gun before it went off. The guys that pull a gun and don't shoot without hesitation aint gonna shoot anyway, at least I never saw one shoot. Just my 2 pennies.
I believe your perspective is a bit backward. An armed public is a safe and polite one. I never tell people if or when I may or may not be armed. That simple "?" is what makes for a safe society. I want ALL of my neighbors to own and carry loaded firearms all of the time. I also want everyone within 500 miles of my neighborhood to know this. Keeps the scumbags out. They will go rob and loot the liberals.
Agree 100%. I believe the saying is "An armed society is a polite society." and it is mostly true.
This liberal has 6 pistols, an AR-15, two rifles, and a 12 gauge shotgun and I can and do shoot all of them. Yer politics ain't gonna matter when the lead is flying? One thing the teacher in the CCW class told me that I will always remember is this, if you are in a place of business and your weapon is visable, and the "bad guy" comes in to rob the joint. Guess who he is gonna shoot first? Thats right, it's you, so he can cut down on the competition. This applies all over in most all situations. Thing is if it's really concealed then it's hard for you to get at it also?
Maybe wisdom is the better part of valor? You were in a rotten situation with only one clear way out. Call the police with some license numbers or just blow it off but, be grateful it went well.
