According to the news here in Daytona:
Tourism officials estimate Biketoberfest brought 125,000 bikers and a $214 million influx of cash to the local economy.
While traffic fatalities were up (6 in total this year, 4 on Sunday alone), motorcycle thefts were on track to fall from previous years , Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said. As of Sunday afternoon, only two bikes had been reported stolen.
All of the business people seem to be real happy as were the attendees who enjoyed outstanding weather for the event.
I believe the numbers were up from last year and US 1 didnt back up near as bad as past events. Not sure if traffic control as Destination Daytona was better or things just a little more spread out.
I'm surprised the toll isn't higher, Seen alot of people at the Broken Spoke who couldn't walk straight get on their bikes at the end of the night
There did seem to be alot more partying at the various venues and not as many just cruising around. In addition, 4 of the fatalities were on I-4. Known as the "most dangerous road in America" I try and never get on it riding.
