Between the two...FF helmet. I hate windshields and the way they look. But then, I don't care for FF helmets. I'd rather have a faring.

I took my windshield off for 2 weeks now it's back on and not coming off. It's so much more enjoyable riding with the windshield. Half helmet for daily riding and a 3/4 with face shield for long rides and trips. I've never worn ear plus in 30 plus years. Yes I get my hearing checked and it's fine.

Really it depends on how you ride and what else you do.

Short trips across town and low yearly mileage riding you may be fine.

Long trips and riding 7-9 hrs a day at 65-75 mph could easily take a toll on your hearing over time without using ear protection
