Default Chrome ?

Don't use chrome at all. You'll get the best results with polished stainless steel. They will not nick and rust and lots of folks use "Hot Toppers" but they can be a pain in the azz.

Ace Hardware now has a fastener section aimed at bikers. All sorts of chrome & polished stainless pieces. I have used several of them & so far they have all held up very well. You cant beat there prices either!

+1 on the Stainless. The chrome look nice till they get wet. Then you realize that the allen wrench you put them on with cracked the plating, where they start to rust. Stainless will look good forever.

Stainless that's polished right looks better than chrome. It just seems to have more lustre to it.

gardner-wescott has all types of "kits" for chrome bolts, quite frankly, the best in the business. not the cheapest, but for quality, brilliance, and strength, they are top notch, if you're looking for show quality bolts, these are it. they have what is called a "builder set" has every bolt on your entire driveline all packaged and labeled, you will stand out for people that pay attention to detail
