I remember a thread from last year, basically it went like this. If you put a battery on a cement floor all winter the cement will suck the juice out of it and kill the battery. So the poster deduced that if you put the bike on the jiffy stand (that's the dorky word for kickstand) then because it's metal the same thing will happen. The juice will get sucked out of your battery. So don't do that. Put the kickstand on a hockey puck.
