Today I was trimming the hedges in the snow and kept looking at the dry streets. Finally I said screw it, backed the bike out of the garage and off I went. People were looking at me like I was nuts, snow all over (except on streets), baclava pulled over face looking like a psycho.... But it felt so good!
Hell;it's 70 & sunny here right now,and I'm debating whether to go back to bed or brave the "cold" Florida weather & go for a ride......OK;ride lost out;I'm goin' back to bed. Got the heat on, too!
Today I was sitting in the garage with a Captain Morgan and coke in my hand. No snow on the streets at all. I don't own a baclava (What ever the F that may be). I opened the overhead door to the garage, looked at all the bikes parked comfortably for the winter, and said F it - I'm going in to pour another Captain and coke. It's in the 30's here, and riding just ain't fun when it is that cold. JMHO
Glad to hear you got out. This will likely be the last week I ride. Froze my butt off today commuting to work on the bike in 35 degree temps. I wore a baclava, full face and gauntlets. Funny thing is I still enjoyed it more than driving a cage.
Way to go, man. Get it while you can. The hedges'll be there when you get back. Where I live, Southern New Mexico, we don't really do winter-no bike storage, but you gotta ****** those moments of glory no matter how incomprehensible to others they may be.
