Default point system at dealer

Do any of you all have a dealer that gives you a discount on the point system plan. The more you buy the discount gets greater. Just wanting to know if it is any good.

Default My Dealer!

My dealer gives a 10% discount on all accessories and install when you buy a bike and extends the discount afterwards. So far no end in site! As for a $2000 discount on a new bike, depends on what you are buying and how good of a bargainer you are!! I bought an 09 RK leftover right after the 2010's came out. Got BETTER than a $2000 discount.

Right now during the month of December my dealer has printed out, e-mailed and talked up a daily 15% discount on varying merchandise IN STOCK. One day helmets, the next clothing, the next chrome, the next batteries, the next day dyno time, the next etc. etc..

Yes, my dealer has a point system. (Loyalty Rewards) for every dollar I spend I earn a point. 1000 points equals $100 free merchandise, 5000 points equals $600. Basically another 10% savings. They also deal with me (I haggle) depending on what item it is I can normally get 15 to 20% off, plus get the points which is another 12% because I keep my points until I save up to 5000. This winter they have a 20% off parts and labor, plus points.

Crow River HD in Delano, MN. Little family dealer, great service.

Most of the dealers here in the Denver area used to do this but I believe all have stopped .

my 'local' dealer does that (or used to, i'm not sure if they still do). for me it was totally worthless, plus you had to pay something like $35.00 to 'join'. they give me a 10% military discount (excluding bikes, and labor). but i still spend the majority of my accessories budget online. i buy a few things from my dealer, enough that they remember who i am, but not enough to send me to the poor house

Cleveland Motor Sales has a points program. You get 1 point for every dollar spent. Then you can use the points for different things. They have a chart on their website.http://www.harleydavidsoncleveland.com/miscpage_003.asp

I used 1500 points for a $140 gift card. I used the entire $140 on 3 sets of brake pads. I think I'm back up to 600+ points.

Where I'm at the dealer has a point system called "Rider Rewards". $39 one-time fee earns you 1 point for every dollar on parts. 1000 points= $50. store credit, 2000= $150 and so on. in increments of 1000, the more you accumulate, the more they are worth.

Plus I get the "Good Guy" discount offered to HOG, LEOs, Fire fighters, EMS and Mil.= 15% off on parts.

Not a bad deal.....It has helped pay for a few goodies thru the years.

Best wishes....Tim(HT)

Wow...what a deal. I get the same at my dealer, but that's basically for the mark down T-Shirts I buy. A 10% discount pales in comparison to the 20-25% I normally get on line, and that's with (sometimes) paying shipping and NEVER paying tax. Boy, dealers are so generous...
