I have looked up and down, left and right trying to decide what slip-on mufflers to buy. I love the look and sound of the Rine Harts, but just wanted something diffrent from the crowd. I like a couple of the Vance and Hines but still wanted something different. Then when I was just about to give into the RineHarts, the parts guy at the local Harley shop told me about the RC Components. I never heard of them and neither did anyone else I talked to, and I only found a couple threads online about them. So yesterday I rode to the Harley shop and just by chance they had a bike, that they had just put a set on. The bike had a 103 with stock headers and a/c just like mine, so they fired her up and I was instintly sold. I bought the 4" Eclipse and man let me tell you, they are awesome. Just like the web site says Extremely aggresive sound while idiling, loud roar when you twist the throttle, and even cruising at 70 they still rumbled. The end caps really set them apart from the crowd, and im sure once I change head pipes, air cleaner, and a race tuner they will definitley be BaddAss
I have a pair of slash down RCX-Haust mufflers hooked to a V&H Power Dual header on my 2012 Road King (FLHR). And yes, it sounds bad azz. Besides the header and the mufflers, I put on a Ness Big Sucker air cleaner and an H-D SEPST. It dynoed at 81 h.p. and 100 ft. lbs. torque. But more than the good dyno numbers at the high end, it performs great in all ranges. Great performance and a wicked sound - how ya gonna beat that?!!! Enjoy your RCX slip-ons. See attached pics.
I'm thinking of doing those also. I have a 12 king classic also. Do you have baffles in? I'm looking for deeper rumble but not excessive noise as here in Windsor ontario and general area there's lots of cops. I ride with a couple guys with loud pipes, makes it uncomfortable on long rides. I heard them in a show room in Tenn.breifly, liked the sound, but tough to know how they sound on the road at different speeds. I guess my question is, are they a deep sound. I'm liking the 4'' slash downs.
I bought mine in sept2011, put 10000 miles on it this past year, love the bike.
Enjoy your ride, take care.
The RCX, 4" mufflers come with a street baffle installed which will give you the low rumble you want without being hollow or raspy sounding. Just a nice deep tone that should keep your neighbors happy and the cops too. I can't imagine too many people will find the sound of them annoying. Really...these mufflers have become very popular around here...an area where Rinehart's once ruled the land. I am sure price has something to do with owners willing to take a chance on them. I'm glad I did.
I am planning on adding to my garage a new Street Glide sometime this summer and all I can say is, a set of these RCX mufflers will be part of that package..
Good Luck!

PS: If you don't already have a tuner or download, do it to get the most out of these mufflers. Keep "Fuel Moto USA" in mind for the tuner.
